I appreciate the insight guys. Seems like CVA is the route to go. I’m looking at the wolf and the optima. Muzzleloaders.com has an all in package with the wolf for $550 which seems like the best deal right now...
In my years of hunting I have yet to hunt with a muzzleloader. Im looking to change that this year. What would be the muzzleloaders version of a Remington 870? Something cheaper, yet very reliable, common and serviceable? Any brands or models to stay away from? I know next to nothing about them...
A bit of an odd post but I figured this may be a good place to try! I’ve recently started feeding my dog a raw diet so i’m stocking up as much as possible. If anyone has any meat or scraps that they would be throwing away anytime soon i’d be glad to come pick it up instead of it going to waste...
Went and felt the a300 last night. For the price and what I’ve been hearing I’m gonna go with it. Will be ordering one tonight. Thanks for all the input!

I’ll be going to bass pro to see how each feels in hand tonight. Seems like comparing these guns are like Chevy vs Ford. Gonna come down to feel and price. I’ll let you guys know what happens. Thanks for all the feedback.

Ready to upgrade to the semi-auto world this year. With staying budget friendly, I am considering a Stoeger m3500 or a Beretta a300. Looking for opinions on either or even other fowl guns around the $800 range. Thanks!

Finished off the season in Northern Virginia yesterday. Ended with quite the mixed bag; woody pair, geese pair, banded ring neck (2007 in Canada), drake mallard. This was my first season going after waterfowl and I’m hooked. Already getting ready for next season lol.

Subbing as I’m looking for a new pack for next year as well. This year I did as much minimalist hunting as possible. Fanny pack held all I needed; knife, flashlight and headlamp, range finder, harness tree loop, and climber pull rope. Perfect for short hunts or when I used the climber.

Thank you all for the insight! I'm going to talk to her about it tonight and see what we decide. I'll be sure to post back here with some pictures of what we get into.

Pending cooperative weather my girlfriend and I will be taking a day trip to Harpers Ferry on Saturday. We'd like to hike, fish(mainly why I want to go), and do some photography(her). Neither of us have ever been so I'm looking for some suggestions on what areas to check out? Thanks!
