      I like your way of thinking, Ed. I used to hunt with both a 3x9x40 and 3x9x50 vortex. The bigger glass was much easier over the last ten minutes of the night.

      Rugged has really good deals on brakes through their website, but you have to register your warranty and upload the form 4. I've been trying to get that activated, it takes some time apparently.

      Danner is garbage anymore. Shoe Goo is what you need to fix the sole. OP, head on over to Rokslide and go into the boot section. Short answer, lots of good brands, but they need to be tried on. I've used Salomon, Lowa, Merrell, but my newest are Schnees

      I have a blowout kit under my truck seat, but 99% of our usage in first aid is: Bandaids, gauze and tape Benadryl, pill and cream Painkillers Antibiotic ointment Sunburn Cold medicine

      Max hit it on the head. Brompton is the best. The others will do the job. Make sure you keep a tire pump handle, a flat repair kit, and know how to use it.

      Bolt action .22 rifle. Work up to semi auto rifle and handgun in that order.

      Used jogging stroller and ATV gun clamps. There, I saved you $200 over the gun related ones.
