      Chronic Wasting Disease area expanded

Do I understand correctly that it means I can transport county to county as long as it's in the region, and or if the origin county is not in region, but destination county is? In other words, living in Fred co, am I good to transport back home from Carrol and moco?

      Business you can carry

I think this thread will be a lot easier to follow with the places you CAN carry, since by default we will not be able to carry anywhere unless they grant us permission.

SB1 (2023) - Criminal Law - Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms - Restrictions (Gun Safety Act of 2023)

This is the way I understood it too. Our rights are our rights, by default, but if you as a private homeowner wish to limit it, you can. Not the govt saying you have no rights on private property unless the person says so. I imagine we have a right to speak freely, and all the other...

SB1 (2023) - Criminal Law - Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms - Restrictions (Gun Safety Act of 2023)

I'm curious why not challenging the dwelling portion? Everything else looked great from my non lawyerly opinion - thank you!! I am a recent MSI member, and I appreciate everything you are doing for us!!

Will Governor Wes Moore sign SB1?

So, he's not signing it into law so he can say when it's struck down that he knew it was unconstitutional, but it was already law when he signed, and the ceremony was just a formality.

ISO, permit holders who regularly go to State parks and State forest lands and Chesapeake Forest lands

I hunt all deer seasons every year at patuxent. I was out at an evening ML hunt this year and just before I called it, I heard a shot, and then a whole bunch of yotes yapping. Definitely a little unsettling being stuck with only a musket out there... I've heard the yotes are getting pretty...

      Pre-emption question

Montgomery county didn't change their firearms laws, but they redefined a place of public gathering or something like that in order to avoid preemption. That's how basically everything was banned in Moco.

      Pre-emption question

Unless they do what Moco did and redefine everything to bypass preemption.

      MD Zoo in Baltimore W&C?

We have a family pass, and also haven't seen detectors, but we haven't gone yet this season. Sounds like the setup is the same.

SB1 (2023) - Criminal Law - Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms - Restrictions (Gun Safety Act of 2023)

Honestly, maybe that's what it'll take to wake some people up. Maybe all the apartment complexes and rental out there should receive a letter from the state saying that unless their lease specifically grants them permission, then they must remove all firearms from the premise.

Did they also say they struck, sports events, concerts and live theater?

      Carry setup photo thread

Don't have a picture, but I'm carrying a 43x MOS with red dot, in a phlster enigma express. I'm a righty, and I prefer to carry left of center as it's the most comfortable and best concealment I've found for me. Favorite way to carry? Sweatpants and a t-shirt/sweatshirt, depending on the...

      Montgomery County Bill 21-22

You think too small. It could actually be a 19 round magazine if our number was to be rounded down to the nearest 10. That's what I always tell the LGS when I go to buy "supposed" non MD compliant mags

      SB 118 withdrawn

I read it that way too. They word doctored it to seem like they changed it IMO, but has the same outcome.

SB1 (2023) - Criminal Law - Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms - Restrictions (Gun Safety Act of 2023)

Not a lawyer, but...this seems like it no longer means we're getting double charged for violating terms of the carry permit, which ais a lifetime disqualifier?

SB118 (2023) - Criminal Law – Prohibitions on Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms

I'm with Lazarus though. Where does it specify wear and carry permit holders? It doesn't, this is a broad restriction on firearms. Wearing, carrying or transporting. I do not see any carve outs for hunters, only LEO, security and military going to post. Maybe that wasn't their intention, but...

SB118 (2023) - Criminal Law – Prohibitions on Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms

Also this is right before hunting season '23. If the proposal is as insane as it sounds, that will absolutely kill the season waiting for it to be overturned.

SB118 (2023) - Criminal Law – Prohibitions on Wearing, Carrying, or Transporting Firearms

It's crazy. We won't even be able to leave the state without becoming a criminal on the way out.

      Carry clothing question

I usually wear UA compression or one of my BJJ rash guards, but honestly a regular old white T, tucked in was pretty comfortable when the latter was dirty.
