I had a lady complain that I was scary. She called my supervisor and said that I didn't do or say anything that was rude or intimidating, but I was "just scary looking." That was early in my career so nothing came of it, but by the time I retired, that would've obligated the supervisor to write...
^^^^This, except they are targeting firearms ownership first, in an effort to disarm the less than enthusiastic "law abiding citizens." They have to do this before their encroaching infringements on our liberties go beyond the tolerance of the citizenry

The scheduling was intentional, so as...
I would suspect that any desire for the firearms in question would've come through channels within the agency, to the sheriff. Then, if he deemed that it was worth evaluating, he would have completed "The Law Letter" request, to start the ball rolling. Presumably, there would've been multiple...
Aha, I was telling the XO last night, I thought that it was likely that the arrangement between the sheriff and Krop was tipped to AFT by a former TMGN employee. I'm betting that is them ^^^.
Obviously the devil is in the details of each individual situation. But for the love of all that is good and holy, get yourself a body camera and wear it, just in case, and keep that energy. :):)
Well IF they asked me to step out of the vehicle then I probably would let them know about it. But, IMHO just telling them off the bat is unnecessary and might cause the stop to "go downhill quickly" if you get a LE that is similarly untrained, as the troopers were.
That is incorrect. Or at least partially incorrect. If they disarm you without you having committed a crime, such as in the video, then they cannot remove the firearm from the holster to observe the SN. If the SN is visible while in the holster, then they can run it, as long as doing so doesn't...
Beat me to it. The senior trooper tries to play it off as an unofficial policy, but barring additional criminal indicators it is a 4A violation,
For those that say they don't want to, or will not get out of the car, save yourself a headache. The police can order you out of the car for any, or...
The law in question is an unjust law. The fact that people simply accept governmental overreach is sad!
Yes, this should be applied much more frequently! It would help with the above!
The crimes (robbery, assault, murder, etc.) are already crimes, each carrying jail sentences. Why do we need enhanced laws, sentencing, etc.? This is typical B.S. posturing from politicians. Just enforce the laws that we have, sentence violent criminals to jail, and keep them for the term of...
Mine is a gen2. My G19 is Gen4. I did have to swap out the beavertail backstrap that I had on. It would not secure in the frame with the backstrap installed.
Correct, a stabilizer brace is not a stock (as of today, at least) so no need for a 16" barrel.
I have one for my G19, that a friend gave me as a retirement present. I have never had any issues with jamming, ftf/fte, etc.
