This is a slightly used furniture set taken off an Arsenal SAM5 rifle. The rifle was only fired once before the furniture was removed, so it is all in good cosmetic condition. The set includes: Stock, Pistol Grip, Lower Handguard, Upper Handguard.
The stock is an intermediate length - about...
I have no intention to fire the rifle again before making whatever repairs are necessary. I am simply trying to make sure I understand the problem(s) and do not unnecessarily change out functional parts. This rifle has performed amazingly every other time I have fired it and my only goal is to...
What parts of the bolt should I be examining for excessive wear? Part of my concern with replacing the bolt is that this is a "65 series" which I have read is longer than the standard. I believe this is correct to the rifle, being a 6 million serial number Springfield make.
Thank you all for the replies. Apologies for not checking in yesterday, it is a busy weekend for me.
I have additional pictures attached here. The bolt face you can see the chip I was talking about. However, this does not correspond to all of the damage on the firing pin. I took a picture of...
I was bench resting it, but I am certain I didn't bump fire. When bench resting I hold the stock in my shoulder with my support hand, its never gotten away from me like that.
@Doco - I did exactly that before taking it apart. The hammer catches the disconnector and the trigger resets like you'd...

Looking down the rear of the bolt, the firing pin channel looks good and circular. From the bolt face side it...
On my last range trip I had an issue with my Springfield M1 that I am hoping some of the members here might be able to help me solve. After firing about 750 rounds over the course of the year that I've been shooting it, the rifle slamfired twice. For both instances, the rifle was feeding from a...
This sounds like a Demolition Ranch kind of question.
I think with a firing pin sized implement, the primer would deform and nothing would happen. With a larger surface area though, it sounds possible.
I know SBR's cannot be moved out of state without filing paperwork with the ATF to notify them before hand. I think this is not the case for suppressors though. Am I correct? Wouldn't that be a potential advantage? (Not an NFA guy, but this is a subject I've wondered about.)
I have two Remington Model 11's, they are licensed productions of Browning's Auto 5's and I believe the only ones to be made in the US. Unless getting one made in Belgium is important to you, I think whatever you can find in good condition will serve you well. I love to use the 20ga for sporting...
