      angle iron supplier

I'm looking for a place to buy some 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 1/8" thick angle iron. Preferred if it was 12' long, but 8' would work too. Anyone know of a local place I can buy some?

Getting in the woods too early?

Alot depends on the area you hunt and the pressure it gets etc. I've pretty much hunted either a Christmas tree farm or ag farms. 75% of my hunts are typically evening hunts (last 2-3 hours of daylight) so I catch deer coming out to feed in the fields, etc. I keep a log of all my...

      Concrete Pour Quote

Price def seems high, but too much detail left out. Are they doing the forming? rebar? how thick is the concrete, etc. Last concrete I had delivered was around $120yd + $150 delivery fee. That was 3 years ago too, so I'm sure prices have went up like everything else.

      road trip

My wife, 2 year old daughter and I will be making a road trip the 2nd week of July. We will be traveling from Frederick, MD, Argillite , KY. The planned route is route 68 to route 79. Anyone have any recommendations on places to stop and see along the way. It's about a 6 1/2 hour drive so...

      75-80 Dragway

If I was a betting man I'd bet the farm 75-80 is NEVER going to reopen. It's amazing all the people that say about it opening it back up, etc. If there was that much support and what not why wasn't more tried to do to reopen it, or keep it open. I know the Wilcoms had some health issues or...

      Gun shops trade in

It's been awhile since I looked at the gun, but I think its a 110 with a wood stock. I think it's a 1985 model year, but I could have that confused with another gun. I know I bought it used, refinished the stock and put a cheap I think BSA scope on it. It does not have the Accutrigger.

      Gun shops trade in

Does anyone know of any gun shoes that will take a gun as a trade in? Around the Taneytown/Frederick, MD around or so would be great. I have an older used Savage 30-06 that I bought probably 15 years ago and haven't used. Wouldn't mind getting ride of it for something that I may actually use...

Pre-Season Hunting Chores -- Share Your Approach

Last weekend I was finally able to spend half a day prepping for the season. I try to put out my trail cameras and trim shooting lanes, etc about a month or so before season. Luckily for me old man winter was kind and I had to cut up 4 trees than had fallen in my trails/paths.

      Where to find Groundhogs?

Talk to some farmers near you I'm sure if you ask them many would be happy to have you harvest the groundhogs. I used to hunt a Christmas tree farm. They had 4 different properties, but the one really had a groundhog problem. Right after they would mow or a fresh rain it was like heaven. I...

      Burris Drop Tine Quality

Last year I wanted to replaced the Trekker 4-16 scope on my .223 since it was cheap and it was all I could afford at the time. After some research I ended up buying a 4.5-14 Burris Droptine as the reviews seemed decent and Burris has a pretty good reputation. After mounting the scope and...

      Muzzleloader scope

I had a Cabela's brand on my T/C Omega and it was okay for a few years than it would hold a group for 2-3 shots than slightly move. Took me a few years and few poor shots to figure it out. I replaced it with a Nikon scope and it's been fine ever since. Since Nikon no longer makes scopes I...

      350 legend

Will be shooting factory loads and I don't have the knowledge nor tools to load my own. I mainly hunt my own property of farm land so will be open fields with little woods. I'd like to pick up a straight wall just to have because ya just never know what the gun laws will be in a handful of years.
