DE is turning out to be worse than MD.
I might as well move back, at least my handgun permit is still valid there (and didn’t involve jumping through all the hoops this bill proposes).
What exactly is the reason behind them not shipping uppers? They aren’t firearms.
Last I checked we can change uppers as much as we damn well please.
As for mags, are we talking just the banned mags, or are they refusing to ship ANY mags to DE at all?
Whatever the case, the thing with the...
I’m just outside Smyrna, so I’m likely further north than you. I have no issue driving anywhere though.
Those references for the ccw permit have to be from the same county don’t they?
Sounds like DE needed this ruling.
What’s holding me up is the 5 references. I legitimately don’t know that many people I feel comfy asking to fill that stuff out.
I might contact legal council about it.
Does todays decision affect anything regarding DE’s CCW permitting process? Perhaps creating fewer hoops to jump through?
I for one am not a fan of the process. Needing forms filled out by other people (like permission slips), and having to put your info in the damned newspaper? What’s up with...
It’s my hopes that this will get wrapped up in the courts for a long time, just like the 3D printing nonsense from last year.
Like you pointed out, they seem to have done this in a way that pretty much ensures it’ll be nullified by a court.
And remember, none of it matters until it’s signed. So...
That may be the case in MD, which I think states that if it has 2 or more features it’s considered banned… but DE seems to have taken it a step further and said that even just 1 feature (even just a flash suppressor) is enough to get it on the banned list as a “copycat weapon”.
I WANT to be...
I know the M1A is on the banned list, but not the M1 Garand (if I remember correctly), but I do not know about the carbine.
I’m fairly certain the flash suppressor would make it banned though (it only takes ONE feature to turn it into an “assault weapon” according to this BS legislation).
Here...
Mags that hold more than 17rds were banned. It was a different bill than 450 though. As of me writing this is has yet to be signed (450 also has not yet been signed).
The Magazine Ban is also on it’s way to the Governor to be signed.
So anyone with magazines capable of holding more than 17rds can look forward to being guilty of a class e felony.
I may be leaving the state as a result. We’ll see.
