I've been looking for one of these for quite a while - It's a Gun-Ho Range box with an integrated spotting scope.
I know that modern plastic versions that are probably better, stronger, lighter etc. etc. exist - I'm just a fan of old school, classic stuff. Downside is it's so nice I'm hesitant...
Ideally restricted to postings by Mod approved folks who know what they are talking about. Whenever I peruse those forums looking for actual facts I have to wade through a zillion posts from enthusiastic, well meaning posters with no actual clue. Im all for lively discussion but sometimes I just...
In addition to the wife and I both making decent money I established a side business in 2021 and made out better than expected. Now, I need some help keeping as much of it as possible.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Just now (0800 1/20/21) I noticed that 6 members are viewing the Shooters Discount sub-forum. Seems really strange to have that many folks concurrently viewing a forum for a shop that closed quite some time ago. I mean no disrespect to Lou, I was a customer and fan of his but it seems really odd.
I would like to find a two blade folder for EDC with both ceramic & steel blades. Ceramic seems to be super sharp but not quite as durable as steel so 1 of each ought to cover all the bases. All I can find online is an offering from Stone River Gear that is too pricey for my workingman's budget...
I need to get something made out of 16 gauge steel - anyone local to Harford County have a metal brake and an hour or so? Need two bends back to back about 7/8" inside to inside, remainder of bends are spaced out I can send a sketch to anyone who might be able to help.
Thank you,
Jay
When I left at 4:30 Today they had 1 left (started with four) Couldn't have asked for an easier or more pleasant buying experience. Staff was swift and polite maybe 20 minutes in and out.
Was there today and they had LOTS. The guy said he had even more under the counter. They also had .38 and .380 No 9MM and I didnt really pay attention to anything else.
Good luck & happy shopping!
Heard on the news that "Records obtained by the Baltimore Sun" showed that that wackjob that made the threatening phone call about shooting his workplace up and called himself "The Joker" had a special permit that allowed him to purchase more than one gun per month.
Is this information (who...
I have a full can of Dupont FF Black powder dated 1924.
Would it still be good? Does it even go bad or get unstable?
I am not a black powder guy and don't especially have a need for it but the can looks kinda cool with the old time label.
Thanks,
Jay
When I browse this forum I click on a thread and then use my back button either on the mouse or in the browser window to return to the previously viewed page. I've done it this way "forever" on whatever forum I happen to be looking at. (I assume others do it this way too). Lately only on MDS I...
In light of the ruling invalidating “good & substantial” we need to garner support from the general public. The problem I see is that for folks that know nothing and never considered it before the requirement to have a “good & substantial” reason to carry a gun doesn’t seem unreasonable.
I...
The thread on digital safe locks got me thinking.
I have a Liberty with a dial combo. lock. I typically lock the dial with a key and use the "day lock" feature that doesn't require the full combination to be used. Does the lock mechanism need use or exercising to remain functional...
O.K. for a while now I've been looking for a .380 Colt Mustang in decent condition for a reasonable price. I've seen them on Gunbroker for over a Grand and typical asking prices when they can be found are $600 -$800 bucks. So, I finally found a guy selling a decent one for $500.00 and pretty...
I just got a copy of the NRA Firearms Assembly Rifles & Shotguns book and I am quite impressed. I have an old stevens visible loader that came to me in pieces and I think that the diagram in this book will be most helpful in the reassembly. Also has a synopsis of the history and dissambly...
