This is an ORGANIZING thread for the SECOND AMENDMENT SANCTUARY COUNTY movement in Maryland.

The goal of this thread is to establish 2A SANCTUARIES in the MAJORITY of Maryland Counties by the votes of COUNTY COUNCILS or COUNTY COMMISSIONS as well as city and town councils or commissions in Maryland.

Our movement constitutes an ADMINISTRATIVE ATTACK against the tyrannical actions of the Maryland General Assembly, actions that violate our State and Federal Constitutions.

The 2A Sanctuary County Movement is intended to elevate the issue of our lost Constitutional Rights and liberty to statewide and national prominence by lawful local POLITICAL ACTION, supported by thousands of Second Amendment Maryland Patriots from every County in the State.

This 2A Sanctuary County movement requires no travel to Annapolis.

In fact, none of you have to leave your home County to achieve total local success.

Depending on how you choose to participate, you can take part in this administrative attack and contribute your actual support for YOUR County 2A Sanctuary (by phone calls, letters, emails, social media sharing, forum posting) without ever leaving home.

If you have already BEGUN or are now LEADING an initiative to establish a 2A SANCTUARY in YOUR MARYLAND COUNTY (or if you want to launch a 2A Sanctuary movement in your county) please create a post about YOUR COUNTY anywhere in this thread below.

Include all information that YOUR FELLOW COUNTY RESIDENTS can use to help you to advance and establish YOUR COUNTY’S 2A SANCTUARY:

I find it interesting how they can give a city sanctuary status and ignore the feds, but declaring a county a 2a sanctuary carries no weight.

I'm a resident of Caroline and have been going to county board meetings. We got the commissioners and sheriff to author letters against the legislation this year but they fall short of directly stating that the county is a Second Amendment sanctuary. There was also a resolution passed but it also falls short of explicitly stating the status of a 2A sanctuary for the county. I'll create a Caroline County post and attach the letters and resolution there.

1) the entire country is a second amendment sanctuary 2) unless the law enforcement agency in your county is willing to refused to enforce gun control laws I don't care whether you claim to be a second amendment Sanctuary or not. You ain't one. In counties with police departments I promise you they will enforce all of the laws of the state of Maryland and In the state of Maryland counties that do not have a County Police Department have a sheriff's office. Those Sheriff's offices are augmented by the Maryland State Police. If your County sheriff and his deputies refused to enforce gun control laws I promise you the Maryland State Police will step in and do it for them. In short, a second Amendment Sanctuary County in Maryland is an exercise in futility. It's just not going to happen
