No crown = Never ending barrel. The barrel just disappears over the horizon with no calculable end. What if it had no breech either? You just blew my mind man...

I'm sorry. I am confusing "crown" with the alteration of the muzzle. My crown is completely flat and the edge seems very thin and somewhat jagged.

Weird, mine is recessed, albiet slightly its threaded just like yours.

As stated above, load can really affect stabilization. For example I have a 1:12 Zastava that will stabilize 62 grain handloads but struggles with factory ammo.

OP, in your photos, the muzzle rifling appears to be damaged in multiple places from 11 o'clock to almost 2 o'clock (at a minimum). Not good at all if it came from the factory that way.

Shoot me a pic of yours. I want to make sure this is NOT how it is supposed to be.

It is round as far as I can tell. I just didn't like the lack of finish on the edge. Looks kinda raw and jagged.

Looks to me like the crown is unfinished. As if a manufacturing/machining step or two was skipped. I would expect the bore edge to be beveled.

Personally, I would just try a different brand of ammo before thinking the rifling or crown are bad. Maybe what you were shooting had light loads and didn't obtain a fast enough muzzle velocity to stabilize. Just try different ammo before you get all freaked out.
