    Hi all,

    I recently acquired an 8mm Egyptian contract FN-49. The top cover latch is snapped off so I purchased a replacement, but I am not familiar with how to remove, replace, and then peen the metal. Does anyone know if I would also need a new return spring guide rod as well? Anyone know of a gunsmith near Harford County who would be able to complete the repair?

    No suggestions for Harford. It might be worth your time to call up Hafer's in Hagerstown and make the trip for this though. They're fantastic gunsmiths over there.
