    Hi!

New member here. My wife and I moved here to MD just over a year ago from NC and I brought my three handguns with us. One of those handguns was a BCM AR pistol, it was a pain to get it registered as a handgun, but I did get all of them registered.

I ended up selling the BCM out of state to the FFL that I purchased it from in NC back in June. I am now wondering if there is any way to remove it from the registry since I have sold it? I am just concerned now with all of the new ATF letters about braces that the MSP will look up and see that I have a AR pistol registered under my name but I no longer own the firearm.

    Thanks!

This... just keep the sales records and you'll be fine.

Be prepared to prove you were nowhere near the crime scene where your former pistol will have been used, and be sure to have a nice 5-figure (minimum) savings account for your lawyer. People who own guns are inherently enemies of the State, as of 1/20/2021.

Prosecutors love high-profile cases, and if the State's Attorney was eased into office with Soros funding, this sort of payback is required. It seldom matters whether the charges are legitimate, when the Honorable Judge Kangaroo is on the bench.

It's brave new world out there.

The MD registration is a registration of transfer/sale. Not of possession.

So keep the paperwork from the FFL that they received it from you.
