Yesterday, sat around with my one-armed bandit working on priming and prep of 9mm cases. I typically do this for all my calibers.

Began converting new Starline 6.5 Grendel brass to 6mm ARC. Loaded some test loads with some used Hornady Brass.

Now waiting to try out my new build.

I'm headed to Shydas in Lebanon PA tomorrow (going to be in the area anyway.) Going to buy lead shot so I can reload .410. It's the last thing I need. Hopefully I can knock out my first shells tomorrow evening.

Processed 100 once fired .22-250's. Full length resize, flash hole cleaned and uniformed, inside flash hole deburred, trimmed to minimum length, deburred inside and outside of case neck, sonic cleaned, dried and tumbled in walnut media with added polish. Next week they will get loaded with 50 Hornady V-Max 55 gn. and 50 Sierra Blitz King 55 gn. over Hodgdon H-380. Now I'm ready for the ground hogs they are starting to come out.

Over the last 2 weeks I loaded 120 rounds of .44 mag. 75 rounds of . 44 specials. Prepped 200 rounds of 30-30 winchesters. Will complete 30-30 by Wednesday next week. This was from old supplies from 15 to 20 years ago. New prices are crazy.

Did another 50, 50 grain Vmax 22-250 H380 loads today but bumped up to 39 grains to test.

Cast 8lbs of #4 buckshot, 4 lbs of #0 buckshot, and a few hundred 1oz Lee Keyslot and 450gr (svarog) sabot slugs. Buckshot was snipped apart and in the tumbler rounding up. I've been using #4 buck in many of my loads and it's becoming the goto. The 400-ish gn slugs work well with Buck&Ball loads, where the total payload is in the 650gn range.

FWIW, I checked my electric meter before the 6hr casting session and after. I had the Lee 20lb pot and an old 400d griddle for pre-warming running the entire time. 8KWh for the entire house, or about $0.64.

That's a cool choice - doing some quick Google-fu I read that H380 in the 22-250 can be dirty, but (and I quote) "it shoots like a laser," so the tradeoff is certainly worth it. What's the planned velocity on that - somewhere around 3700-3800 fps or even faster?

I haven't done diddly squat in the loading room since I loaded up a bunch of ammo for the winter camping trip. I loaded up every spare bullet I had for 9mm, 223 and 45 Auto, with the exception of some cast lead 200 gr semi-wadcutters for 45. I should just load those up to get rid of them - I've got a few hundred left in the box, and several hundred reloads left. Might be a good way to get in some cheap practice with my 1911s before moving back to plated bullets, which tend to be considerably cleaner.

    Last night I loaded a thousand 147gr 9mm with 3.4gr N320 @ 1.135" OAL. These should be around 975-1000fps out of my AP5.
The word on the street is this is a "perfect" round for shooting suppressed 9mm- clean and quiet.
160s are even better, if you can figure out a load that will cycle your gun reliably. I had to switch to hot 124s because I run too many guns with comps and ports, but those 160s were absurdly great.

    Anyone seen this

    The video or the die?

Used to be called wilson hand dies. The plunger on the seating stem can be moved by hand pressure. Used to load at the bench. An arbor press, especially one modified with a seating force measurement indicator, takes it up a step.

As to what I got done today; not much. Neck turned twenty five pieces of 6.5 creedmoor brass in preparation for conversion to 22-250ai.

Started cleaning my newly-arrived batch of 9mm brass last night. Seller mistook "I don't mind if some of it is not tumbled" as "send me 100% not tumbled", so that's delayed my loading slightly. Plus side, I do have enough loaded to get me through the next couple weeks, so I should be OK.

That's more than slightly effed up.

I did mention it to him this morning when I reported that I received it. Not worth escalating or making a huge fuss over. I have another 3.5k coming today that is already tumbled (supposedly), so I'll just load that in the meantime while I chip away at the other brass. Limiting factor is really my ability to dry, not to tumble, so I can always grab another dehydrator if I need to make things go faster than 1k a day.

Don't know what you are paying but my friend that I reload with has been getting raw 9 and 556 pretty reasonably (he's feeding a lot of subguns and belt feds). If you find yourself in need, let me know.
