It'd be cooler if Dad hadn't used the heck out of it, but it is what it is - Dad didn't buy guns to look at them. He USED them - not only around the farm, but he was also a competition marksman, and as a small-town police officer, that .44 Mag spent some time on his pistol belt carried in the line of duty, among many others. He had plenty to choose from.
Hell, I don't even care for S&W that much but that revolver is gorgeous. The fact that it was carried by a working police officer makes it all the more so to me. I don't like museum pieces, I feel bad about shooting them.
