Never thought I'd end up posting HERE!

    ;)

I recently discovered that there is an Archangel stock kit for the Rem 597.

The point was less to go Tacticool, and more for adjustability for the wife and the grandkids at some point.

The rest??? Wife says I'm strange.

(FTR... Do not use the stock front sight screw for the front accessory. If you have a Weaver screw it works much better)
I suggest not putting the red dot on the handguard. The handguard will flex somewhat if its resting on something and the barrel is tied to the receiver part only which means the POI can change depending on how much pressure is applied to the handguard part. Not in the same league rigidity wise as the 597 Remington VTR tactical stock (I have owned both on my 597 in the past).

My 22 can is still in NFA jail. In the meantime, the Tirant 9 will do.

    Nice Ruger

photoracer, some real nice set ups there. I have been reading your posts for a couple years here and rimfire central. This is the first time I remember pictures of your guns. Thanks for all the info you shared.

Only have a few rimfires...one is a 25 year old Ruger Mark II, that shoots better than most anything else I own....

And this one, I just picked this up recently (10/22 Mossy Oak model w/stainless barrel)...still "stock", aside from the scope.

I have been pretty lazy over the years about taking pictures of my own firearms. Inspite of being a photographer on the side. Takes a lot less time just to whip out my smart phone than grab one of my cameras.

Have a couple of dozen rim fires. Guess it's time to start taking pics for inventory and to gloat. I find it a PIA and so far the only pics I take are of guns I'm selling.

Not so much gloating as it is showing others what certain parts look like together and possibly giving them ideas for new builds.
