.Got out to the range today.

Tactical Solutions X-Ring with a 3-9 Leupold VX Freedom and a Dead Air Mask

CZ 457 MTR Trainer Lumited with a Vortex Venom.

Lots of fun getting the CZ dialed in.

Here's my latest. A really nice J. C. Higgins Model 43 sold by Sears. It has no serial number so it has to be made before 1968. It is a version of the Marlin Model 81. The J. C. Higgins 4X scope is a real plus. Looks like it just came out of the box. Made a scope cover for it.

I’ve got an X-Ring it’s an excellent rifle. I’m using a Vortex Viper PST 2-10 which I think had been a great match. Mine likes CCI SV, green tip, and Target Mini-Mags. I’ve just need to get a Dead Air Mask too…

The Mask is so much fun. The other guys at the range were amazed. I let them take a few shots and they were giggling.

I picked up a used B14r(steel) over the winter and finally got it out to shoot last week. It was a little breezy so I decided not to waste the Eley,SK, or Lapua getting a 100 yard zero. I did bring some CCI standard and after getting a decent zero it laid down this 5 shot group with the CCI at 100yards. Needless to say I’m thinking it was a pretty good investment. All I did was add an Arken SH4, Atlas bipod rail, Harris Br bipod, and a 20moa rail.

    Nice group!
Now take that rifle and ammo to . . .
Factory class ARA 50 yard benchrest match tonight.
    6:30pm Salisbury Gun Club.
Tonight wouldn’t work, but when is the next one. It sounds like it could be fun. PM me all the details and I’ll take a day off from work and come shoot the next one if it doesn’t conflict with the kids college sports schedules.

I don't shoot factory class, but imagine it's similar to the UL matches there. You might try contacting the match director - contact info on the ARA site - before the match to reserve a bench.
