Absolutely beautiful rifles!! There are so many. I just spent some time trying to settle a roaring migraine....which have hung around 24/7 for 3 months and in all my many old fart years, I have never had one. Don't know whats up.
To pass the time, I went through this thread from beginning to end. Wow! Some nice rimfires's. I'm crazy jealous that you guys can get cans. They should be legal everywhere with no special paperwork and fees. It should be over the counter nationwide. It will not affect murders all that much because if someone wants to kill you quietly.......they will just take you somewhere quiet.
I seen it on Goodfellas. 
So these were the one's that really appealed to me but I really do not mean to leave anyone out....especially not Defcon dude with his 300,000 tacticool .22's. What job do you do man? Sign me up!!
But anyway.....nice rimfires everyone

I just found out I have a deeply embedded passion for bolt action .22's especially with wooden stocks. I recently found out what a great rifle the Remington 581 is. So I started hunting for one for several months. I wanted to find one locally. Well, nothing showed up so I gave up. A little over a month ago I was driving past my local gunstore......which I usually pass by these days.....and I got the sudden urge to stop and go in. I had decided on a Ruger 10/22 which I planned to mod. I wanted to see what models they had and check out a model with a composite stock they had on special. I was a little early getting off work anyway and the wife and kids wouldn't be home yet so it was a good time to go look at 10/22's.
I walk in the store and like a bolt from the blue this rifle in the Used/Consignment rack literally jumped into my hands. Not knowing what it was I cruised directly to look at it and guess what? Yup......a Remington 581 in prefect shape.
I snapped it up. Problem was.......the store has a 35 day hold when selling a used gun. Only then can you start the 10 day wait for the DROS and background check. I was pooping the original owner would take it out of consignment.....but 34 days later I DROS'd it and it has 4 days left in jail. I cannot WAIT to go shoot it.
Came with:
Bushnell Sportview 4X32 I think @ +/- $75 worth . It will get replaced.
$40 leather sling.
Rings......maybe $40
Uncle Mike's QD sling swivels@ $12
I got the whole deal for $200. Unbelievable deal I think?
Sorry about the poor shot. You are not supposed to take pictures of inventory there......I snuck one in.
A 33 year old Remington 581. Barring any unforeseen BS, it will come home with me on the 22nd.
Other than this........I have a Ruger MkII Standard and a CMMG .22cal Stainless Steel Conversion kit for my LMT CQB MRP 5.56 AR-15. But the 1:7 twist is not great for the .22 so it is not accurate. It also gets VERY dirty.
Truth be told, I'm personally not fond of tactical style semi auto rimfires.......the "assault weapon" look. Just me. I like the real deal offerings. I do like the HK/Umarex(?) MP5 in .22 however and the Ruger 10/22. I will have to get one each of those one day. The 10/22 will end up costing a ton in mods though. So much as I want one.......it is scaring me. Firearms/Reloading gear/powder and match bullet supplies/factory match ammo/special gun tools etc etc...... have already put me in the poorhouse

Picked up a Ruger American Rimfire at a LGS today. I put a Vortex Crossfire II on it. Trigger is very light and crisp. Hope to take it out next weekend.
How do you like your Vortex Crossfire II? Nice rifle
I like it a lot. The glass is super clean. I used to have a Nikon but prefer the vortex. I will post once I've had a chance to shoot with it. Thanks.

What shop is this? 35 day hold before you can start to do a 10 day wait for a used bolt action! Nice rifle but the stores policy is ridiculous unless it is a pawn shop and they were waiting until the redemption time lapsed.
