01 FFL question: Does roster apply to used handguns?

Buddy of mine wants to sell me a used post-1985 NAA mini revolver (not the Earl). Both of us are MD residents. Does the roster apply to used handguns sold privately through the FFL transfer process? I have the HQL.

Yup, if manufactured after 1985, must be on the roster. The only minis that I know for sure were made before then were the ones made by Freedom Arms.

When thinning the collection, if manufactured prior to 1985 and is not on the list, what is a maryland resident to do about transferring/selling it off?

Write it off as a total loss?

You meant post 1985. Prior is good to go, there is no prior to '85 list.


Post '85 do as Teratos suggests, sell out of state.
