Either Magpul knows something we don't or they are just prepping for what may come out of all this nonsense.

They have never made a 10 round mag. Now they are. Due in Feb 2013

There are other states that are confined to the 10 rounder so, maybe they see something coming. Maybe not. It is nice and low profile for the lead sled though.

I would have expected this to be a routine market move to support states with regulations as well as bench shooters who want a lower profile (for example I shoot almost exclusively 20s at the range).

That said getting the molds made in quantity probably will be a good decision.

I see a big market for these regardless of current politics. They are ideal for precision bench shooting and hunting.

magpul came out with a statement saying that they know its poor timing but they were planing on releasing these now anyways. i believe them because i saw these like two weeks ago, right after the "incident"

I think he's saying that the range doesn't want fully-loaded large magazines on the firing line, presumably meaning no use of them at all.

10 rounders are best for the range, since I can only shoot 5 rounds at a time:envy: (my local range rule)

that's dumb as sh!t. I hope you load 5 rnds in and do your fastest tacticool mag change from mag-holders on your belt every time you run dry....leaving a pile of empty mags on the ground next to you.

    Better than the Thermold option.
Huge market in NY, NJ, etc.
    Great for the range/bench/prone/specialty ammo.

No reason not to have a ten-rounder with Magpul quality.
