"P" = proof, i.e., the rifle was test-fired by the armory. You may find these on the underside of both the stock and barrel.
I'm guessing the other stampings relate to either the armory or military identifications.
    Nice-looking '03. Enjoy it!

SA SPG is the inspectors stamp when built at Springfield Armory. Are you sure the 7 in 37 is not some other cartouche? From the pic it appears it may something other than a 7. I am looking on phone so not sure. Nice rifle. An 03 is on my list to buy.
    Where's the feet?

Looks nice. Interesting that it has a C stock and the old style handguard. What did you trade for it if you don't mind telling?

Nice rifle. I would grab some steel wool or scotch bright and some pto or blo and clean up some of the dirt bet she will shine. Just be gentle.

Contact Drmsparks, he likes US military guns and might be able to tell you more. Looks like a decent original gun to me, Congrats!

It's very possible the stock is original. C stocks were introduced in the 30's and became standard for later production guns like yours.
