Not one to want another caliber, I'm looking/wanting to buy a 9mm 1911A1.
Being cheap and on a fixed budget it needs to be in the $500 or less range, if such an animal exists. A used one would be fine.

    I am looking for recommendations.
For anyone who has one, what kind do you have and how do you like it?

    Thanks in advance for reply's.

    Here you go -

In stock and available to ship to your FFL …

$420 (not sure about shipping) and these are forged, Forged, FORGED

Heck, Dahlonega has em for $400 (have to put item in your cart to see best price …)

    Same with BattleHawk Armory:

I’ve ordered multiple firearms shipped to my local FFL from all three of the above online vendors and they are all three excellent to do business with …

Here’s a complete list of who has e e and for how much: https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/723551440216?suggestion-term=1911 9mm

I was skeptical and “pfft” when I first heard about the new line of no name, “SDS Tisas” 1911 … a year later still seeing nothing but raves I went ahead and ordered one.

Once in hand and especially then again at the range I was quickly kicking myself for putting it off a year now and have since ordered a second one.

Fit, finish, function, trigger break and accuracy are all THAT good!

Sadly, you’re 3 weeks late and three bills short on this screamer of a deal; my neighbor invited me over to shoot his and I still can’t believe they cleared 9mm 1911’s out at those insanely low prices.

Just keep in mind the MD handgun roster. At least one $350 Tisas 45acp A1 model name variation wasn't on the roster unless the MD FFL wanted to enter it just as a 1911 A1, if model names don't matter now.

Maybe ask your MD FFL first.

Taurus makes a good forged 1911 too, for just a lititle more than $500. I have one in .45, and it’s a great gun for the money.

SDS/Tisas is good to go. Some models can have fairly tight tolerances, so break it down and oil before first use. Some people don't do this and then complain about issues on YouTube or forums.

I would get a Tisas/SDS is that price range. A similar priced used Ruger or Springfield may be obtainable if you are in the right place at the right time.

What ever you choose to go with, a 9mm 1911 is a sweet shooter.

Here's one for you from Family firearms. They also have Duty model with Skeleton / Hammer, Novak style sights, ambi safety for a few dollars more. I got one(s) a few months ago at a cheaper price.
