Basically there are two types of feedramp systems on the 1911 and derivative pistols.
There is the conventional ramp in the frame (unramped barrel) and;
the ramped barrel.
Para Ordnance used only the Clark/Para ramped barrels in all their guns except for the original frame kits.
Typical 1911’s use unramped barrels for 45 ACP. Top builders indicate this setup works best since that is what feeds best. This unramped barrel is also used for other calibers as well. It dies offer less than optimal case support for the higher pressure 9, 38 Super, 40 and 10mm catridges.
Many builders and manufacurers use the ramped barrels for the higher pressurerounds because of greater case support.
I think the 2011 guns only use the Wilson/Nowlin (W/N) ramped barrels. Not sure about that. As of late, there is the latest iteration of the W/N with the Lisner radius. The Lisner radius is a reliability feature and offers no function nor accuracy advantage over the W/N and C/P ramped barrels.
I personally have used the Wilson/Nowlin ramp in my 40 S&W builds because I favor the Nowlin barrels. I used unramped in my 45ACP Guns but would always use a ramped barrel for other calibers.
