2013 HB 90 Access to Public Records- Handgun Permit Records

Dear Supporter of The Second Amendment:

As amended HB 90 prohibits the Maryland State Police, or any State entity, which is the custodian of records from disclosing any record which indicates a person owns, including concealed carry permits, a Regulated Firearm, as defined by Section 5-101 of the Public Safety Article of The Annotated Code of Maryland. HB 90 is in response to the situation in New York where a newspaper, The Journal News, published / placed online an interactive map which identified the names and addresses of lawful gun owners.

HB 90 - amended

I received this attached PDF yesterday from Delegate Kevin Kelly. The amendment strikes the word 'handgun' and replaces it with 'firearm'.

The only downside is that Frosh can get his permit and we'll never know.
