    "The 2023 Wings and Wheels Expo will highlight aircraft and equipment used during the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. On display will be two Bell UH-1 "Huey" helicopters, two Fairchild C-123K Providers, a Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar and a C-47. Military vehicles will be on display and living historians will share their knowledge on the gear, uniforms and weapons used by the US soldiers in Vietnam."

    Featuring the Hagerstown Aviation Museum’s extensive collection of vintage aircraft built in Hagerstown. Bring the family out and climb aboard museum aircraft like the Fairchild C-82, C-119 Flying Boxcars and the C-123K. See other museum aircraft: 1928 Kreider Reisner KR-31 biplane, and Fairchild 22, 24, PT-19 and PT-26 all built in Hagerstown.
    EAA Chapter 36 will be offering free Young Eagle airplane rides for kids ages 8-17. Sign up here


    Capitalwings Warbird Rides will also be on site and you can reserve a ride at the link below.

    From the homepage I really thought it was chicken wings and wheels car meet. Like the cars and coffee. Ha. I’m getting wingstop for lunch now.

    We have been to several of these. It is a worthwhile stop on the way to or from Hafers.

    Before Buffalo Wings became a thing there was a restaurant near the airport called Red's Twin Kiss that sold fried chicken wings for 10 cents apiece or a bucket of 120 for $10.00.

    I realized I sounded like my old man.

    I remember Red’s twin kiss well. My ex and I would stop there every time we went to Hagerstown in the late 70’s
