That appears to be at a group of older looking apartment buildings just north of the hospital.

*****I think those are basically the "Projects" of that area. Folks of very modest or low income are moved there and pay below market rates for a place, if they pay much of anything at all. There are similar places like that in Silver Spring, Wheaton, Germantown, etc.. Some of the folks that were displaced due to gentrification in DC or Baltimore. etc.. are moved around to apartment buildings like that so they have a place to live that is in their price range but somewhat subsidized by the surrounding areas.

Although not apartments, there are MPDU type dwellings in my neighborhood that were a requirement before the builder of our community was allowed to begin putting up townhouses and single family homes here. I think the ratio is 85/15 or 15% MPDU lower income homes to 85% market rate. My neighborhood was just finished in late 2021 so pretty sure MoCo made having those lower income homes a requirement before approving the project.

That area is a dump and has been for as long as I can remember. Pizza delivery folks give newbies that run because it's either a hoax, there is nowhere safe to momentarily park, your car might be missing when you go back for it, or even if the call is real, the tip if any will usually be a big disappointment.

Westminster is not what it used to be.

Carroll county aint what it used to be. In laws are getting ready to list their house because the farm behind them was sold and will be developed into a huge ethiopian temple with parking for 400. Their neighbors have had several not so friendly interactions with the new owners trespassing and they figure they better sell now before property value drops or more problems arise.

Where is this temple going to be built? Some religious group was trying to do something like this with a private school property in Howard County right on route 144. There was a lot of backlash on it and it never went through. Would be interested to know where they are trying to build this temple in Carroll.
