    Probably neither... Check out this marketing paper on the 300AAC. It's designed for "up close and personal".

    Page 5 of the attachment MILITARY HARDWARE COMPARISON contradicts your up close and personal - it states the round has the BEST 100-300m accuracy.

    Page 24 clearly lists the superior ballistics over a 5.56 in a 16" barrel

    Perhaps up close and personal with a SBR, suppressed, sub-sonic loads - but as I said in my OP - that's not the configuration I'm using.

    So why probably neither?

    I just purchased a DD in 300 BO and aTrijicon RX30 from 2A week before last .I fired 1 round from a rest Clicked up 5" and Right 4" and ate the bulleye out with the next 5 rounds.Very easy to adjust that model!Good LuckIt was a great shooting experiance!

    Or look at something like their 12.9 moa triangle. That way you have point for aim and a dot of sorts for BAC type shooting as well. At least that is what I would do if I ever acog my blackout.

    Leupold has a 300blk BDC reticle for super and sub sonics... that is by far your best option now IMO.
