*****Yea, stealing of your stuff might be a clue. Thankfully, it doesn't seem like the folks who were robbed were hurt/killed so there's that. Hopefully, they catch the people that did this. This is not uncommon in other countries, especially Latin America where fake law enforcement (heck, sometimes real law enforcement..unfortunately..) rob people. Sometimes they target tourists, and other times the well to do in nice homes.

I've read of rival drug gangs doing this as well, in other countries mostly but it has probably happened here in the states too.

I'd think the best way to tell is if you are a criminal or not. Of course with the way things are now you may be considered a criminal without your knowledge.
