Went to the range today to shoot my new 43x.

Shot 100 rounds. Had one failure to lock back, and one blown primer. The blown primer jammed my gun so that the slide could not be unlocked. Had to remove the slide, and beat on the barrel/ejection port until the round finally came loose.

I qualified for my wear and carry with this gun. Shot 25 rounds. Zero hiccups.

Total 125 rounds so far. Should I be concerned with the recent failures?

Gun is stock except for ameriglo night sights.

    Thanks Tacswa3

The ammo was lawman ball range ammo.

Makes me a little uneasy because this will be my carry gun.

Ammo problem. To be sure, change ammo and hammer it some more.

Just had the opposite problem with some garbage loaded Remington 10mm. Short cycling in a gun that has been anvil tough and reliable. Switched to federal hydra shok, ran great. Chronod the Remington.....way too slow. Junk. I'll use it for malfunction practice.

Sounds like my gun... and my wife's! Put some more ammo through it, you'll learn quickly if it's a gun problem (highly doubtful) or an ammo problem. I shoot federal through mine, never a hiccup.

I have some issue with my 43x as it is kinda small for my hands. I need to make sure my grip is is right, and keep my thumbs in a good spot. If I let my right thumb up too high I can make it not go back into battery.

I’ve run thousands of rounds of lawman ammo with zero issues. With that said things do happen. I’d contact them and see what they say. Just because it’s factory ammo doesn’t mean it’s perfect.

That's quality ammo. Let the manufacturer know what happened. Chances are it's not the gun....
