I should have mentioned, I am looking specifically for a pistol grip stock and 16.5-18.8 barrel.

I have settled on the 45-70 over the 44mag,, ideally pistol grip laminated stock, 16.5 - 18.5 barrel,, so a Marlin ABL, GBL, or SBL style rifle
