Finally, success! I managed to get a hold of some lead soft enough to cast 535gr postell for my .45-120. Pencil test showed it is close to 20:1. With previous attempts the lead was not soft enough, the bullet would not obturate under black powder pressure and most would keyhole at 100 yards. This batch, nice round holes, all 10 shots within a 10" plate at 100 yards. 535gr postell, 110gr 2F Goex black powder, homemade beeswax based lube. Shots were fired while seated(there's no way I'll shoot it prone or from the bench). 55gr 5.56 round for comparison
