Does anyone have a set of 5.56 and 300 blackout headspace gauges they would be willing to loan out to me? Either under their supervision or with me reimbursing shipping costs?

I need to guage my new 5.56 and 300 noveske's, and would prefer not to have to buy my own sets or pay a gunsmith what it would cost to buy them to do it.

    Thanks fellas!

Did you put the barrel extension on yourself? If not, you don't need to check the headspace.
Headspacing on an AR15 platform is done when the barrel extension is mated to the barrel.

Or send your bolt to the people you buy your barrel from. They check it and ship you the correct barrel. Perhaps next time.

I shouldn't, given the state of the workshop to which I have access. If I go changing a barrel and/or BCG, I'll need to add a torque wrench and a headspace gauge in addition to the barrel wrench. Do I need something extra to mess with the gas block?

You don't need a headspace gauge to change a barrel. You need a 1/16 pin punch to drift out the spring pin holding the gas tube in the block and a maybe a set of setscrew wrenches to take the block off. You don't say if this is an A2 setup, and my instructions are for non A2 gas block.
