Has anyone ever heard of a rifle chambered for "7.39 x 39"? I haven't, and my valiant attempts to search the googlenet in reference has led to a whole lot of apparent typos referring to 7.62 x 39. I would have thought that to be all there was to it, but a friend of mine recently recovered some expended casings stamped that way, which he described as having "oddly-shaped brass". He's by no means ignorant of firearms, and he referred to me as the gun nerd of choice, but I have to admit ignorance. Any help would be appreciated.

my friend knows what a 7.62mm x 39 is. That's why he asked me when he saw 7.39 stamped on the brass. No, I kind of doubt he was drunk, considering the circumstances. And yeah, neither he, I, nor anybody else has heard of it, and google pulls up a few obvious typos.
