7.5" .22LR AR barrel

Ready to jump in to the Form 1 world and build an SBR.

Anyone seen a 7.5" .22 AR barrel that's actually in stock? Need it to work with a CMMG bolt.

I know they make a 9". I have a 4.5" on a pistol already that I plan to use which is also CMMG.

If you go directly to the 7.5" Beyer from Google it says OOS

From when I was looking at barrels recently it was mentioned somewhere else that all of the Beyer barrels were made to order even before covid. If you want something now you'll probably have to buy a cheap regular 5.56 7.5 barrel and run the adapter. Not optimal for several reasons, but a lot more likely to get it sooner. I don't know of anyone else that makes a dedicated 7.5" CMMG style barrel otherwise.

Reading now that dedicated .22 barrels may be a bit shorter than their 5.56 counterparts. Gonna measure a couple 16s I have at home to see. Maybe a 9" in .22 will work

Just picked up a Palmetto State Armory complete dedicated 8.5" upper with bolt for $402.79 after tax and putting it on my soon to be built Polymer80 Pistol Lower.

Plan to run it as is for a bit and then replace handguard with a slightly longer handguard to fit also soon to be approved .22LR suppressor under the handguard and only have an inch or two of suppressor sticking out.

That might be my solution but I needed a forend without the clamp

I picked up one of those space gun Hera stock sets. Need a 7" forend to squeeze their weird foregrip on to

I've got a cheapie Matrix Arms on my 16inch rifle AR and am completely happy with it and will probably get the 9" or the 11" one for this upper depending on how everything plays out when the upper gets here. I might end up keeping the PSA rail but we shall see.

Biggest issue is going to be finding Black Dog magazines out of state close by and not too expensive.

If you want a CMMG barrel, you need to order it. They will put you on a list and won't charge your card until your barrel is ready to ship.

They usually measure about 1.25" shorter than a 5.56 barrel, and they have about .4" of threads. This upper is a 4.5" RTB with 7.25" handguard with 5.2" Oculus can, probably 1.5" protrudes

Yes, molded kydex, helps cut down on gas in the face when suppressed.
