What. The. F?! A 700 was on my short list of to buy firearms. I think Remington is now, decidedly, off the list. I can understand batches or lots having to be recalled; but 7 freaking million?! What is going on over there?!?!?

Looks like it won't be called a recall. It seems like they are saying that Remington will replace the trigger in the 700/7 model rifles if the owner sends it in.

Great...................wish they would just send me a trigger. Now I have to deal with sending it in..................

I want to know about the reimbursmement, if I buy an aftermarket trigger will they give me my money back and how much?

    Wow.

    After all these years!

There have been stories for many, many years about Remingtons discharging when the safety is released, without the trigger being touched. For many, many years of course, Remington has been denying that there is a problem.

Okay, I skimmed the link. Yes, that's it. This goes back 50 or 60 years or more. It's big.

I just put an article link in RIFLES. The rifle discussion section. :D

Yes, this is definitely in the wrong section!

I think this is simply a case of lawyer proofing on an epic scale. That said, if Remington is willing to reimburse me for all the high end match grade triggers that I have on some of my rifles... WHY NOT!!!
