870 barrel question

I just purchased an 18" barrel from a member here (thank you sir, you know who you are!) and I have a question about it. It looks like all of the welds are gold-ish in tone. My other 870s are all black park'd or blued. Anyone know what the deal is with these? Seen something like this before? Remington often leaves me scratching my head. Thanks folks!

Silver brazed. That’s about good as it gets anymore from them

Thanks fellas, I don't care really - more curious what they were thinking/doing. I'm gonna cerakote the whole thing anyway so all good. Did this barrel sneak passed their QC or is this how they were making them at the end?
