Don't know if the screw was in the stock when you bought the gun and the screw fell out or you lost the screw after removing it. If it fell out, the wood is probably stripped in the screw hole.

Your welcome. Glad it arrived OK. I was worried that it would get torn from the envelope when the PO processed it.

Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't work loose. As others have said you may need to do something to tighten up the hole to keep it in place........."that did't sound right"
