A.A. Clive Thumb Trigger .22short

Looking for information. A.A. Clive Ilion N.Y. breech loading, thumb trigger .22short.
Clive had a connection to the Remington factory. The rifles were produced between 1898 and 1901. I've done all the internet searches and find very little information. One auction estimate for a very good example was $500-$700.
I'm trying to find records on number produced, value, subject matter experts, collector groups etc.
