    WANT TO PURCHASE AN AK FLAT AND PARTS KIT DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD SMITH WHO BENDS THE FLATS AND ASSEMBLES THE PARTS KITS IN MARYLAND AND DO I GOT TO GO THROUGH ALL THE MD RED TAPE TO REGISTER THE WEAPON AFTER FINAL ASSEMBLY

    You know what would be cool? If you didn't type in all caps like you were shouting at us. Registration of your home-build AK is optional but not necessary so long as it stays with you.

    thx took caps off was'nt shouting do you know a smith to do the work without red tape i built my own ar 15 this seems a little more involved

    If you want to avoid the red-tape, you will have to bend the flat and do all of the work yourself. If a gunsmith was to bend the flat for you, you would be required to fill out the paperwork just as if you were purchasing the receiver from them.

    Glade Valley Sporting Goods in Frederick may be able to help. But as mentioned... as soon as he bends it, your are doing paperwork.

    Paperwork free = you bend it.
