I read that this guy used an original forward Thompson grip, but the rear pistol grip will not fit and AK. The rear pistol grip is a one-off piece carved out of white maple using an original Thompson piece as a pattern to get the correct shape.

Sadly no. I had an AMD project in mind for a while, and I was going to use that as a model.

Tried that a few times, it feels wrong to me..... If you can shoot comfortably like that, skip the forward grip, the AMD looks wicked as hell without it.

I was thinking the same thing. I shoot both the AK and AR using the mag for support. its really growing on me!

not a fan of the front facing grip, even though so many AKs have it. personal preference i guess. personally i prefer you give me the rifle...

save up and get one, they are not very much $$. probably the lightest AK in the collection. my bitch is the shitty spray paint job on the receiver.
