An odd trade request?

Hey all.

I very recently acquired a used Volquartsen TF-17 (.17 hmr) rifle from a fellow forum member. I was wondering, would it be worth listing in the classifieds to trade for a high end air rifle or target .22lr pistol/rifle?

It's a beautiful rifle (minus a few dings) and very well built, but I'm not sure I'll be able to afford feeding it on the budget I currently have. It came with 222 rds of ammunition, but that's not likely to last more than one or two range trips.

Any thoughts?

I have a nice Savage .22 bolt rifle, but I went with the .22 because of feeding costs. That rifle is a beauty.

Why not? It's free and YOU bought it so someone else might as well. Rule #1 in sales, throw enough shit against the wall, some of it will stick.

i think you should post it because we have many forums always looking or selling something. i have found many items (sub2k, paratrooper sks, ruger 10/22) i wanted by posting or replying in the classifieds. in your ad, include ALL of the rifles/sidearms you are looking for and include a trade value for your item. good luck!

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I've already received two offers, so I'll see how those exchange propositions go. If for whatever reason nothing can be worked out on those fronts, I'll put it up for trade in the classifieds. I'll be discussing/researching the other rifles for a bit, so feel free to make an offer in the meantime if you've got one.
