Yes. My old brain got the name wrong. :o
Interesting will definitely check it out. I bought a bunch from Phil over the last 20 years, they had the advantage of being one of the closest to home but had gone downhill in the last few years, I still stopped by occasionally though but probably been a year since I set foot in and 5 years since they had something I wanted to buy at a good price.

I understand that Phil is on dialysis currently and isn't doing well.

Pretty much :) . ( Except for the No Wimmin sign )

Added - To change the context , imagine a world that only had franchised hanging plant yuppie joints , and no more old school neighborhood bars or roadhouses .

    There's a place for both .
One thing I could never understand when I moved to Calvert co.
Where are the bars? I mean gravel parking lot, 100 sq ft dance floor, Juke box, etc.
I grew up in Laurel,, RT 1 was littered with Honky Tonks,, Moved to Rural TX, same thing dance halls and wood floor dives,, moved to Calvert and NOTHING ?

The problem I believe is you didn’t go far enough south. Try St. Mary’s county or southern Charles. :)

Back in their day , Laurel was the Dive Bar Hotspot of Maryland.

LOVED the place and purchased many C&R items from them over the years. They also had the greatest WW2 class 3 collection I’d ever seen. I think he sold that part off to the Uniform/gunshop company in PG (name escapes me).

Phil was always good to me and pulled stuff from the back to show/sell. Never a single bad experience. YMMV :D

    A-1 Uniform , in North Brentwood ?
That sounds correct. I thought they were in the Landover area, but website says College Park.

They used to post on MDS a lot and purchased collections of class 3 and posted here. I don’t know for sure, but that’s what I heard years ago when the sale was made.

What's a "real" gun shop? No accessories, revolvers and lever guns, with men smoking, playing poker in the back? Tripping over crates of corrosive ammo on the floor, moldy cotton duck discount surplus gear, and of course, no women allowed signs?
Maybe the issues is the use of "real" versus "traditional".

Kind of like when people tell me they got a "real" job, as if their previous job, that paid them money, was fake.
