I frequented this site for a little over a year before registering, and have been lurking since but I wanted to chime in on the H&M thread in Rec Shooting so I felt compelled to introduce myself over here as well. I don't post much on any of the forums I visit, but I'll post from time to time when I feel like I have something to contribute (and sometimes when I don't).

I'm in Abingdon (Constant Friendship). My wife's folks are up in HdG, so I'm up there a fair amount as well. Seems like there are a few people here in that geographical spread.

Do you shoot at H&M? If not, what other place(s) in the area do you prefer?

I personally have never shot there. I shoot at my place of employment in Perryville not far from HdG. My GF lives in Meadowood so I pass Constant Friendship damn near every day. That traffic system there is worse then what it used to be. :mad

Not quite. I shoot at the Rt. 40 and Rt 7 intersection about 2.5 miles past the Hatem Bridge. Its a surface mine facility.

Welcome! I've actually just joined myself -- I suppose I should start my own. Anyhow, we'll be closing on our house in Winters Run in a couple of weeks.

I have shot at H&M. Nice enough guys up there. The young guys are friendly, the older gents are pretty typical for a gun shop/range. For what it's worth, you should check out Freestate in White Marsh/Middle River as well. They're both nice ranges. Freestate is a little bigger than H&M and has a lot more rentals, but also MUCH more traffic.

Congrats! My fiancée (now wife) and I closed on our place just over a year ago after we got engaged. I like it up here.

I've only heard good things about Freestate so far, I'll have to check them out some time.
