I have a PTR 32 KFR gen 2 that has been giving me trouble. The bolt head and rollers appear to seat properly, but the bolt carrier itself isn't making it all the way forward to firing position. The bolt carrier is hanging up almost every single time the bolt cycles.
To me the issue appears to be the bolt retaining lever / spring causing too much friction. The spring is so strong that I cannot rotate the bolt face by hand.
Also, when trying to run the charging handle back, folding out the charging handle to cam the bolt carrier back is far harder than I would expect.
I sent the gun back to PTR but after 4 months they returned it without actually fixing the problem.
I'd be willing to take the gun to a good smith if anyone knows one familiar with these guns.
