Anyone know what type of optic mount this is on a Benelli M2?

Either would be great so I can find out more info on it. Truth is I am worried it is an aftermarket mod, has little or no support and has irreparably damaged the frame.

Might Google your specific model number and check if it came factory drilled and tapped. That'll tell you whether it was added later or factory

Burris Speedbead. It’s fast and I have had great success in the woods with it…

12 gauge benellis all come factory drilled and tapped

M1s90s don't or didn't. Early m3s didn't either.

That is definitely an aftermarket rail. I would suggest replacing it with a Mesa Tactical.

Think I also read up above that all Benellis come drilled and tapped. Maybe all Benelli M2 shotguns, but certainly not my 1997 Benelli SBE. M4 came with a rail already on it.

My Stoeger M3000 Freedom came with the same rail. I replaced it with this EGW which should also fits the Benelli (same pattern)
