Days like today remind me of my friends in PA shooting in their backyard measuring the distance they were missing the center of the target. They were shooting a couple of Colt Pythons, an AR-15 (1975 Colt) and a Ruger 10/22. This took place a long time ago.

They agreed the revolver misses could have been caused by their shaking hands since some misses were to the right of center when the wind should have driven the bullets left. I forget the results of the 2 rifles.

Their discussions got me thinking I'd actually like to try shooting in different windy conditions to see how bad I'd be off target.

I just came in. I shoot from cover of woods so I was more concerned of a limb coming at me. 308s today at 100 yds so everything was spot on.

Service rifle match this morning was peachy. The range was pretty protected, and winds hadn’t kicked up.

But, I ought to blame the windy conditions for my cruddy off hand round. Thanks- great alibi.
