Mike is a what I call a "BUTter" as in "I support the Second Amendment, BUT...". Everything before the BUT is render null and void by the BUT.

It's a little too in-your-face for my tastes but I agree with the message. Maybe in-your-face is what the country needs right now.

I find it interesting that the left is crying about this ad "inciting violence," just as they are about the Trump wrestling meme "threatening journalists" when the vast majority of the actual, real, tangible violence has come from the antifas, #BLM and other leftists.

There has been little to no condemnation of that coming from the Democrat side--or the depiction of Trump in the NY Julius Caesar play, or Kathy Griffith's bloody head, and on and on--but they want to paint our side as dangerous.

I don't see any issue with this ad and I feel it's spot on! I do however believe that the majority of libtards do take issue with this video!
The honest to God truth is that without the NRA gun laws would be out of control in Maryland and things would be a heck of a lot worse! They are the biggest proponents that we have in the fight for 2nd amendment rights! Name one organization that is more effective!

I don't know where the OP was going with it... MD does have the right to self-defense within ones' home, and the SCOTUS has affirmed it. As far as the ad goes... I think it was a bit over-the-top and probably off-putting to non gun owners, but that's not the demographic they were looking to appeal to.

I've only seen these awesome ads on FNC.

Preaching to the choir is fine, but branching out is good too. Just takes money.

The ad appears to be an America spinning out of control and becoming more and more dangerous. I'd think that would resonate with many demographics.

CNN viewers are probably a better sell than the too far gone MSNBC crowd.

Years ago, two guys pried my front door open with a crowbar in the middle of the night. My ex heard them and woke me. I grabbed my .38 S&W, sat at the top of the stairs and when they came inside, I told them to "freeze" and that I was armed.

They did not listen and ran right back out and jumped into a truck that sped away before I could get a tag number. There was another person inside the truck acting as the "getaway" driver.

I called the police so I could get an incident report to use if needed for my insurance company.

The officer that came out told me that if you shoot someone inside your home, you had better make sure that they fall inside! He also insinuated that I should make sure they are dead before placing the 911 call, unless I wanted to be subjected to a law suit!

I installed a vertical dead bolt the next day after making the repairs to the door frame.

I was going to read everyone post but it's pretty repetitive..if not the government who are we going to war with? Put your guns away liberals? These angry mobs of mostly college kids who they they are standing for a cause. Or the blacks(I am black btw) who go from one media craze to the next then go back to their lives. Yes we have self defense in our homes but who is coming into our homes?? These protest and riots no one rarely ever get killed and when it gets bad it's shut down fairly fast. I love trump for one reason he's for GUNS other than that he's a embarrassment this last election was a joke I wouldn't vote for neither one of them. I said last on the list was self defense not that I didn't think it didn't have a purpose. But out of all our members I'm sure most have never needed to use their gun in self defense

I remember back in the '60s and '70s, the NRA was a nice respectful organization that promoted shooting but was reluctant to play hardball with Congress. The Directors in those days did not want to stir the pot. Look what it got us, the Gun Control Act of '68, restrictions on ammunition and imports, and numerous other infringements of our rights.

In recent years they have reread the Constitution and are standing tall against the Government that wants to make us servants. I stand side by side with them and the Patriot Pickets!
