Of the 25,000 applications pending, most of those applicants are probably unaware that MDS exists.

I was down at Guntry tonight with my son and there were a lot of new shooters I overheard discussing their CCWs. I’m glad to see new shooters out and about, but I doubt they new about MDS (they seemed very new to guns - like first time touching a gun new).

Either way, every new permit issued is a middle finger to Frosh and I am hitting the range more often!

Yep, I think my theory is right. Your acceptance is two days before me, but your NICS is four days after mine. If it was based more on the NICS date, then I would have probably gotten mine by now.

17th was a Sunday, so I'm not sure if anyone got accepted or not.

Have you not been approved yet? And again there are outliers in all phases, that's why it's called an average...you are looking at one or two instances but the chart that is being kept shows more. There is no based more on one or another. They all seem to be lengthening. Early on lots of approved 21 days after acceptance now it's 29 days after acceptance. Early on lots of approved 7 days after NICS now it's 10 or 11 days. I know a guy at work that got his acceptance 7/18 NICS 8/3 approved 8/10 outlier...

While looking into it I discovered that the individual is not identified as the "insured" on these policies... Any thoughts as to why?

I have spent entirely too much time looking over the accepted to approval daily trends on this forum.

It doesn’t appear applications have been accepted on sundays. If that’s true then later tomorrow afternoon I expect to see some 7/18rs approved along with some of the leftover 7/16rs

I believe I read upthread that the current avg is 9-10 days from NICS assignment to approved, then another few days for mail out and in your mailbox.

It was steady at ~7 days but the trend line is going parabolic the last week or so. I'm currently at 10 days since NICS, 25 days since accepted.
