NICs, MD department of health, and several other databases are checked wouldn't be surprised if they don't hit up the SSDI and any VA ones for PTSD and other MH issues.
They aren’t. It is NICS, FBI criminal (what the fingerprints are for), and various state databases.

Just want to make sure the feds don’t have anything like unknown fingerprints on a murder weapon that happen to match you. Or in NICS, or all of the state databases they can access. VA and SSDI aren’t done. Neither can release any information.

I went back into the swinokur archives and retrieved an old list of databases MSP uses for 77r checks. If they are also checking these it might explain the slowness of processing

How can MSP query NICS for a non firearm sale? Seems to violate Federal law
NICS is allowed to be queried for a license to carry by federal law.

Firearms transaction or carry license are the only two permissible uses of NICS.

The reciprocal is a permit is also a Brady exemption from needing to have a NICS done for a transfer by the feds. It does not qualify in all states. For example, Maryland will NOT exempt you. But many states you are exempt.

Has anyone noticed, either via this thread or otherwise, if all changes to the MSP database happen exclusively in the early morning or if they update it throughout the day - freely translated: negating the need to refresh all day? :innocent0 And if all day, curious what time the latest change has been spotted?

It seems to be all over the place. A lot of approval posts are coming in the afternoon but that may just be guys getting around to posting after work

Well it’s now official. MSP has hit a wall as far as approvals go. 7’19er here and there are still some earlier dated acceptance that haven’t been approved yet. I was hoping to slide in to the approval category before the “log jam” hit. It looks like that’s not the case

Same here. Looks like realistically we get approved Mon-Wed next week. Maybe some get approved tomorrow if lucky

Remember those with Accepted dates that fell on Mondays, there are likely 3 times as many than any other days of the week if not more so since it looks like most training classes happened on weekends.
