Here it is a Thursday and they are still approving applications that were accepted on a Monday 7/18. I suspect that Monday 7/25 was also a big day for accepted but before they can start to work on those they still have four days of accepted permits to process. It looks like they are just getting deeper into the hole and approval times will keep lengthening.

Keep an eye on when they start clearing and finish clearing the Monday (biggest day's) accepted applications and you will know weather they are gaining or losing ground.

I am thinking they are definitely losing ground. If every Monday takes 5 + business days, they will be at 60 to 90 days easily.

Also, they could interpret this to mean on your phone which is on your person. MD DNR went electronic a few years ago, stopped requiring the paper hunting license. Not that I want a trooper thumbing through my wifes neeked pics, but its easy to stick docs in an album separate from everything else.

Maryland and Arizona are the only two states that allow electronic driver’s licenses. You put it into your phone and you don’t need your physical license when you’re driving. Pretty sure they could do that too.

FWIW, I never put my drivers license into my phone because I don’t fully trust it.

Not correct. The only place You can use your electronic Md driver license is at selected TSA Checkpoints at certain airports. It cannot be used in lieu of your physical license

Well, in other news, my Arizona permit will arrive next week. I applied right before I applied for my Maryland permit, but haven’t heard anything (and they require a cashier’s check only for payment, so I couldn’t see when the check was cashed). I decided to give them a call just to make sure they got everything ok. Lady on the phone said “hold on a minute.” She comes back on the line and says, it’s been approved and will be sent out tomorrow morning!

Maybe I’ll get both MD and AZ on the same day?

So I believe have the unfortunate distinction of have the worse of luck. Looking through the comments and spreadsheet Boondocks (thank you Boondocks BTW) my stats seem to be way behind everyone else.

Of course I haven't been approved.

Training was DD214 and I followed MSI instructions to a "T." No record here or elsewhere, not even a traffic violations. Have had a public scope for recently without issue, nothing fancy but there's nothing in my background to cause concern.

I emailed them and got the automatic reply that they have 90 days.

Still zen though. Just curious if someone has had a worse go of it?
