if you have a WV and MD permit. Unless your committing other major crimes, other then traffic violations you won’t have much of an issue.

The problem is that difference between the states AG opinion and what is printed, and what is practice.

Exactly why you get differences in reciprocity maps with different “groups” who do these reciprocity maps.

If you want to be the most conservative and safest In ND don’t carry.

However, keep this in mind. In ND a LEO can’t stop you just cause the see you with a firearm. They have to have other reasons. An officer for The most part can’t tell if your from ND or not. Unless you look like tourist. So if your being otherwise law abiding, you will be ok in ND. Print the ND State AG letter if your going to ND.

I’m guessing they run NICS at beginning since it is quick. If NICS knocks out an applicant it eliminates having to perform the other more time consuming research/investigative tasks, allowing them to move on to next application.

Kind of along the same philosophy as giving the agility test to job applicants before interviews, as opposed to after. The agility test quickly knocks out a fair number of applicants reducing the number of interviews, which are time consuming.

yeah, that is an interesting theory.

Some people have suggested though That the NICS is only good for 30 days. I have no idea whether that applies to WC process.

30 days is an FBI reg that applies to FFL but AFAIK the policy does not differentiate between background checks for permits or sales/transfers

8/26 Approved!!! Approved within the last hour. I expected the status to say “approved” and when it says “click here to see disposition status” - then I clicked on it, and at the bottom of the next page the first thing I saw was a red “click here to request an appeal” I about had a heart attack.
